Voice transcription

Tell the story. We'll write it down.

Family stories don't come out as typed paragraphs. They come out on phone calls, at the dinner table, in the car on the way home. Tap record and just talk — the app handles the rest.

Typing a memory feels like homework.

That's why most family stories never get saved. You open a blank notes app, freeze, and close it again. By the time you sit down to write it “properly,” the details that made it worth saving — your dad's laugh in the middle of the punchline, the year, the specific cousin who was there — have already gone fuzzy.

Voice fixes that. Talking is how the story actually exists in your head; everything else is translation work. Memory Murals does the translation for you.

How it works

Three steps. Zero typing.

Step 1

Record

Tap the microphone and tell the story. Talk as long as you want — minutes, not seconds. Pause to think; the app waits.

Step 2

Transcribe

AI converts your voice to clean text in seconds — punctuated, paragraphed, ready to read. Your audio is processed server-side, then discarded.

Step 3

Auto-organize

The app reads the transcript and fills in the rest: tags the family members it heard, picks the right date from context, and suggests a title.

What the AI does so you don't have to

The transcription is the easy part. The real work is everything that happens around it — and that's all automatic too.

Auto-tag family members

When you mention a name the app already knows — Mom, Dad, your kids, your cousins — it tags that memory to them. Find every story about Grandpa later with one tap.

Auto-detect the date

Say “the summer we moved to Halifax” or “Thanksgiving 1987” and the app picks the right date — even when it’s only implied.

Generate a short title

Every memory gets a 5–10 word headline you can actually scan later. No more “Untitled note 47.”

Suggest categories and tags

Holiday, milestone, trip, childhood, hard times — the app reads the story and proposes the right buckets. You can override anything.

Private by default.

Your audio is sent to the AI for transcription and then discarded — we don't keep recordings. The transcript is yours, stored in your private family archive, visible only to the people you've invited. No ads. No data selling. No public profile.
